An Garda Síochána are alerting the public to the presence of counterfeit £20 Sterling notes currently in circulation in the Buncrana region of County Donegal.
These notes are fraudulent copies of the legitimate £20 Bank of England banknote.
Businesses throughout the county are urged to be cautious and inform their staff to meticulously inspect all received notes. These counterfeit notes are often produced to a high standard, making them difficult to detect.
“Be vigilant and ensure your staff are informed,” a Garda spokesperson stated.
