A collision in County Donegal has resulted in two people being hospitalized.

The two-vehicle crash happened in Kerrykeel, Co. Donegal, at approximately 10:45 am on Saturday.

Gardaí and emergency services arrived at the scene of the incident, which occurred on the R246 at Main Street, Kerrykeel.

A man in his 40s, the driver of one vehicle, was transported to Letterkenny University Hospital. His condition is believed to be serious.

A young woman in her late teens, a passenger in the same car, did not need immediate hospital care.

The driver of the other vehicle, a woman in her 70s, was also taken to hospital for evaluation.

“The scene is currently preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and traffic diversions are still in effect.”

“Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or possesses relevant camera footage, including dashcam footage, from the area around the time of the incident to please come forward,” stated a Garda spokesperson.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Milford Garda Station at (074) 915 3060, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

    The investigation is ongoing.
