The community mourns the loss of Susan Hamilton, a cherished mother and grandmother, who will be laid to rest this Friday following a fatal road traffic accident earlier this week.

Susan Hamilton (nee Craig), aged 74, sadly passed away last Friday evening as a result of a two-vehicle collision. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 PM at Bunlin Bridge, located on the Milford to Cranford Road.

Mrs. Hamilton was a beloved resident of Eirry, Manorcunningham.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, her brother James, and her parents, James and Jeannie.

According to the funeral notice, Susan will be deeply missed by her devoted daughters: Joanne (Mickey), Amanda (Gerard), Rachel (Kevin), and Lisa (Stephen). She also leaves behind ten cherished grandchildren: Kayla, Joseph, Jack, Jessica, Ciara, Leighton, Jamie, Eoghan, Lily, and Michael.

She is also survived by her brother John (Josie), sisters Margaret (Denis) and Ruby in Kildare, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends who will feel her absence keenly.

Her remains will be reposing at her daughter Amanda’s residence in Rossbracken, Letterkenny, at F92 HR2K. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects on Wednesday, June 4th, between 11:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

The family respectfully requests that the house remain strictly private between the hours of 10:00 PM and 11:00 AM each night, and on the morning of the funeral.

The funeral procession will depart on Friday morning, June 6th, at 9:45 AM, proceeding to Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Inch Island for Requiem Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the adjacent cemetery.

The Requiem Mass will be available for viewing on YouTube via the “Fahah Parish” channel.

May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
