On Wednesday 18th June 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, a Teachmeet focusing on play and wellbeing is being held for Early Years Educators and Primary Teachers.

This engaging event, hosted by the Department of Early Education and Social Studies, promises an evening of valuable learning and innovative ideas. Dr. Nigel McKelvey, Head of Department of Early Education and Social Studies, will open the Teachmeet.

In line with the open and informal Teachmeet ethos, the event offers a relaxed and supportive environment for sharing practical ideas, reflecting on practice, and fostering cross-disciplinary learning.

Presentations will be concise, focused, and creative, lasting either five or seven minutes. This Teachmeet aims to celebrate successful initiatives in Early Years Settings and Primary Schools, promoting shared learning in play and wellbeing.

Whether you’re exploring playful learning, seeking innovative ways to promote wellbeing, or aiming to create more inclusive environments, this Teachmeet is for you.

Expect a diverse range of strategies and creative approaches that you can implement in your own setting. Whether you wish to present or simply listen, your presence is welcome. Presentations don’t need to be perfect; every shared practice is a valuable lesson.

The Teachmeet will be held in room 1452 at ATU Donegal, Letterkenny Campus, with registration beginning at 5:00 PM. For further information, please contact maggie.green@atu.ie. To register, please complete this form: https://forms.office.com/e/tqciQE6HE5
