    Rosses AC athletes delivered a series of impressive performances at the NI & Ulster U14-U20 Age Group Championships, held at the Antrim Forum in Belfast over the weekend.

    On the track, Ayva Boyle finished 3rd in her 75m Hurdles heat (U14G), while Niamh Doogan showcased her speed and consistency by claiming 3rd place in both the 80m and 250m Hurdles Finals (U16G). Lucas Parker clocked a 4th place finish in his 200m heat. The Rosses U14G team also secured a strong 5th place in the 4x100m Relay. In the 800m races, Shauna McGovern and Molly Sharkey finished 5th and 4th in their U14G heats, respectively. Aileen Logue finished 5th in the U15G heat, while Evan Ward had a particularly strong race, winning the U15B event with a time of 2:10.

    The field events also yielded impressive results. Una Richardson secured 2nd place in the Long Jump (U18G), and Aaliyah Gallagher Canavan earned a 4th place finish in the Long Jump (U14G). Aaliyah also grabbed 1st place finishes in the High Jump (1.50m) and Shot Put (10.62m). Odhran Lynch took 5th in Long Jump (U16B), and Oisin Gillespie won the Long Jump (U17B) with a distance of 5.71m. Eli Duffy dominated the Javelin (U15 Boys), claiming 1st place with a throw of 35.08m.

    Meanwhile, at the Annual interfirms race in Letterkenny, Paul McKelvey was the first Rosses athlete to cross the finish line in 17:33. Declan Gallagher followed in 18:19, and Colin Mooney had a superb Rosses debut, clocking a fast 19:06. Helen McCready had a brilliant run to take 3rd place with a time of 17:41, closely followed by Maria ni Mhaolagain in 17:58. Claire O Donnell ran a sub-19 minute race, finishing in 18:55 to claim the F40 category win, and Emily Bonner finished in 21:48.

    Elsewhere, at the LK Gaels 5k, David McKelvey ran strongly to take 2nd place in 16:41, followed by Graeme Edward in 4th place at 17:29. Michael Logue won the M50 category in 19:21. Norman McClean clocked 19:42, and Denis Boner finished in 21:28. After racing the previous night, Bernie Boyle ran impressively to finish in 18:41, and Ashleigh Ni Suibhne achieved a PB of 19:49 for a brilliant 3rd place. Rachel Gallagher finished in 22:58, and Angela Trimble completed the course in 28:59.
