A charity climb of Errigal mountain last month successfully raised over €6,000 for the North West Special Olympics (NWSO) Club.
On June 7th, a large group ascended Donegal’s highest mountain to contribute to the club’s fundraising efforts.
An impressive total of €6,461.65 was collected, and the funds were presented to club members and staff this week.
Donations were collected leading up to the event and on the day itself. A Donegal football jersey donated by Peadar Mogan significantly boosted sponsorship income.
The NWSO Club is affiliated with Special Olympics Ireland, offering athletes opportunities to participate in sports such as basketball, golf, and 7-a-side football.
The club is fundraising to support its athletes in achieving their sporting aspirations and providing access to their chosen sports.
