Frontline Gardaí in Donegal are confident that the team is closing in on a third All-Ireland title.
Kerry’s team will find it hard to escape the determination of Donegal, embodied by goalkeeper Shaun Patton.
This week, colleagues extended their best wishes to Letterkenny native Shaun as he prepares for his 101st appearance for Donegal.
Many Garda stations have been decorated in Donegal colours in support of Shaun and the team.
A Garda spokesperson stated, “We wish our colleague, Garda Shaun Patton, and the entire Donegal team the very best of luck this Sunday in the All-Ireland Senior Football Final!
“There is a palpable buzz of excitement in towns and villages across the county as Donegal progresses to the Final, and we are extremely grateful for that.
“We thank all of the players and the backroom team for their hard work, determination, and personal sacrifices. We have complete faith in you!
“Regardless of Sunday’s result, we will remain exceptionally proud of you, Shaun, and the good news is your day job will be waiting for you!”
