    A man is in custody after an alleged assault on a woman in Buncrana yesterday.

    The alleged incident took place in An Grianan Park between approximately 12:20 AM and 12:40 AM. Gardaí were alerted to the situation following a report of a woman being assaulted by a man at the specified location.

    Garda Grainne Doherty stated, “We understand that an individual in the vicinity intervened in the incident by shouting. We are now urging this person to contact Gardaí in Buncrana at 074 9320540, as we would like to speak with them.”
