Sally Murphy, a businesswoman from Letterkenny, has been named the new President of the Donegal Women in Business Network.

The creative communications consultant and author succeeds Larissa Feeney, Founder and CEO of Kinore, in the role.

As the founder of welltold, Sally Murphy specializes in story-driven consulting, empowering leaders to craft and deliver impactful communications that drive change. She is also a TEDx speaker and the author of ‘So What? Who Cares!’, published in 2024.

Sally has been an active member of the Donegal Women in Business Network committee since 2020.

She is now stepping into her presidential role with enthusiasm, a clear purpose, and a strong dedication to empowering women in business throughout Donegal.

In a message to the network’s members, Sally stated: “As President, my role is to serve YOU and collaborate with our fantastic committee to cultivate an environment where every woman feels included and supported to thrive in business, regardless of their stage. Because I firmly believe that a rising tide lifts all boats!”

The Donegal Women in Business Network (DWIBN) will host its annual Summer Solstice celebration on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Oakfield Park, Raphoe.

This event offers women in business from across Donegal a chance to celebrate leadership, network, and connect as a community.

This year’s keynote speaker is Marie Gleeson (pictured), a former Naval Commander and one of the pioneering women in the Irish Navy.

Sally Murphy commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Marie Gleeson to Donegal. Having had the privilege of hearing Marie speak before, I know her story is not only inspiring but deeply relevant to women at all career levels. This event is about acknowledging our accomplishments, learning from each other, and moving forward with confidence and determination.”

Attendees can look forward to an evening filled with inspiration, informal networking opportunities, light refreshments, and valuable connections with fellow businesswomen amidst the picturesque setting of Oakfield Park.

Established in 1999, the DWIBN has dedicated over 25 years to supporting women in business countywide. From startups to seasoned entrepreneurs, the network provides events, workshops, and peer support to help women develop their businesses and enhance their professional confidence.

DWIBN membership is open to all women involved in business – whether self-employed, employed, or considering starting a business. Membership benefits include access to regular networking, learning experiences, business promotion, and a supportive community focused on women’s success.
