John Cleary will continue as Cork senior football manager for another two years.
The Castlehaven native’s reappointment was confirmed at Tuesday’s Cork County Board meeting.
Cleary initially took the helm of Cork in 2022 as an interim manager and has since held the permanent position for the subsequent three seasons.
The composition of Cleary’s management team will be put forward for approval at the County Board meeting in September.
Over the past three seasons, his backroom team has included coach Kevin Walsh, selectors Micheál Ó Croinín, James Loughrey, and Barry Corkery, alongside performance coach Rob Heffernan.
Cork’s campaign ended for the second consecutive year in the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final, succumbing to Dublin.
Their journey to the knockout stages involved a victory over Roscommon, following a win against Donegal in the 2024 group phase. However, their championship run concluded with a defeat to Louth.
