Gardaí have restricted access to Downings beach due to planned, unauthorized events.
Barricades have been erected by Gardaí at several entry points to stop vehicles from entering the beach area.
This action is a preventative measure aimed at discouraging large gatherings.
A Garda spokesperson stated that officers will maintain a visible presence and patrol in the vicinity.
“These planned events are prohibited. Vehicle access to the beach will be denied for the rest of the weekend,” the spokesperson confirmed.
