Finn Harps suffered a defeat at Ferrycarrig Park tonight, losing to Wexford FC after conceding a late goal despite holding a narrow lead at half-time.

Idir Zerrouk, a new signing for the Donegal side, put Finn Harps ahead in the 43rd minute.

However, Wexford equalized in the 55th minute with a penalty converted by Mikey Rowe, awarded after Joel Bradley Walsh was penalized for handball.

Ajibola Oluwabiyi’s excellent strike five minutes from the end secured the victory for Wexford, leaving Kevin McHugh’s team with a disappointing result on their travels.

Finn Harps will look to bounce back on Monday evening at Finn Park when they face Bray Wanderers.
