Ethan Dewhirst, a Glenties athlete, experienced a disappointing start to his European Athletics U20 Championships in Finland this morning.
The talented 18-year-old from Tír Chonaill AC was disqualified from his 400m hurdles heat in Tampere due to a false start, prematurely ending his individual competition.
Dewhirst will now focus on competing in Ireland’s Men’s 4x400m Relay Round One, scheduled for Saturday morning.
