Get ready for a fantastic summer with Spraoi agus Spórt’s summer camps! Registration is now open for their 2025 programme, offering nine weeks packed with fun, adventure, creativity, crafts, and excitement for your family.

Spraoi agus Spórt is delighted to announce 14 unique camps this year, conveniently located in and around Carndonagh. Designed for toddlers to teens, these camps cater to a wide range of interests and abilities. The fun kicks off this week with the junior and senior Multi-Activity Camps, running until August 22nd.

“We truly offer something for everyone,” says Helen Nolan, Chief Executive of Spraoi agus Spórt. “Adventure and water enthusiasts can enjoy surfing, kayaking, pier-jumping, and thrilling adventure sports. For those with a creative or tech-focused mind, we have music and movement, gaming, animation, and cartoon drawing. And for crafters and aspiring chefs, we provide sewing, pottery, and cooking experiences.”

An ‘An Ghaeltacht’ summer camp will also be available, providing an immersive experience of art, drama, baking, science, and technology through the Irish language.

Helen highlights that the popular Multi‑Activity Camp runs every weekday from June 23rd to August 22nd, from 10 am to 3 pm, ensuring children are entertained and engaged throughout the summer. Most other camps run for one-week sessions.

    Multi‑Activity Camp

Spraoi agus Spórt, an award-winning social enterprise based in Carndonagh, Co. Donegal, is committed to supporting families, including those with children with disabilities or autism. They offer affordable, high-quality camps that provide working parents with peace of mind while offering children unforgettable summer adventures.

The Multi Activity camp is offered free of charge to many families, eligibility depending on their CHICK (Childcare Identifier Code Key). Otherwise, thanks to the National Childcare Scheme, the maximum cost is just €6.80 per day for all eligible children.

“In 2024, we welcomed nearly 500 campers, and due to increasing demand, we’re on track to exceed that number this year,” Helen shares. “Parents appreciate the entertainment and educational opportunities our camps provide. We are proud to offer fully inclusive camps, including free one-to-one support for children with special needs.”

    Spraoi agus Sport Summer Camps

The camps are facilitated by a dedicated team of over 60 individuals, including facilitators, our staff, special needs assistants and students, says Helen. “We also employ college and secondary students over the summer, and we couldn’t deliver our camps without them”.

A particularly appealing feature of the 2025 programme for parents is the inclusion of early drop-off (from 8 am) and late pick-up (until 6 pm) options.

To book your child’s place, click here or visit www.spraoiagussport.ie, navigate to “Activities,” and select “Holiday Programme” to explore the full list of available camps.
