A man in his 20s, the driver of an e-scooter, has suffered serious injuries following a collision in Youghal, Co. Cork.

The single-vehicle incident occurred this Tuesday in Youghal.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the e-scooter incident at approximately 4:30 pm on Barrack Road, Magniers Hill.

The male driver, in his 20s, sustained significant injuries and was taken to Cork University Hospital for medical attention.

The road is currently closed to allow for a technical examination. Local diversions are in effect.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision. They are also requesting that any road users with camera footage, including dash-cam footage, who were in the area at the time, provide it to Gardaí.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Midleton Garda Station at (021) 462 1550, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
