A driver was arrested this evening for speeding at 174kph in a 100kph zone.
The Buncrana Roads Policing Unit apprehended the driver in the Newtowncunningham area.
The individual was arrested and subsequently charged to appear in court.
Gardaí are urging drivers to reduce their speed and avoid reckless driving.
