Donegal achieved remarkable results at the club and county athletics finals held last Sunday in Tullamore.
This marked Donegal’s debut in the competition, and the outcome significantly exceeded expectations.
Athletes from five different clubs combined their efforts to surpass Kerry towards the competition’s end and closely challenge the favored team, Galway.
The event featured 21 individual events, with the top 15 scores plus the two relays contributing to the overall team score. The seamless transition of athletes between events was crucial. The athletes’ dedication, mutual support, and coaching played a pivotal role in keeping Donegal competitive throughout the day.
