Martin Harley, a jockey from Donegal, Ireland, celebrated a significant victory in a $1 million race held in Australia.

Harley steered Cool Archie to a thrilling late win for trainer Chris Munce.

The horse, with odds of 6/1, delivered a powerful finish to secure the Group 2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes title at Eagle Farm, Brisbane.

This triumph earns Harley a share of the substantial $1 million Australian Dollar (approximately €566,000) prize, a well-deserved reward for the experienced 35-year-old.

This achievement is particularly remarkable considering Harley’s recovery from a serious injury sustained during a race in Australia back in January 2023.

Hailing from Trentagh, Harley previously won a $3 million Australian Dollar race in January 2024, marking a stunning comeback after his injury.
