President Donald Trump has publicly criticized some of his supporters amid ongoing scrutiny of his administration’s handling of records related to the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking investigation.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated, “Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullshit’ hook, line, and sinker.”

“They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.”

“Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he added.

The White House and the White House team are privy to facts that I don’t know

This rift between the former president and some of his loyal followers stems from concerns surrounding the handling of the Epstein case.

Last week, the Justice Department and the FBI stated that Epstein did not have a “client list” and that no further files related to the investigation would be released, despite earlier promises from Attorney General Pam Bondi that had fueled expectations among conservative figures and conspiracy theorists.

Trump has since defended Bondi and rebuked a reporter for questioning him about the documents.

In the past, Trump and figures within his administration, including FBI director Kash Patel and his deputy, Dan Bongino, have promoted conspiracy theories, including those tied to QAnon, portraying Trump as a savior against the “deep state.”

However, Trump’s recent statements have not satisfied those still seeking answers regarding the Epstein case.

Former adviser Steve Bannon has suggested that failure to provide more information could alienate a significant portion (10%) of the “Make America Great Again” movement.

Far-right commentator Jack Posobiec has vowed to pursue the release of the Epstein files with the same vigor as the January 6 committee.

House Speaker Mike Johnson also appeared to push back against Trump, urging the Justice Department to “put everything out there and let the people decide.”

“The White House and the White House team are privy to facts that I don’t know. This isn’t my lane. I haven’t been involved in that, but I agree with the sentiment to put it out there,” Johnson told conservative podcaster Benny Johnson.
