Uisce Éireann is being urged to renovate two pumphouse buildings located at Lough Salt.
The structures are reportedly detracting from the beauty of the scenic lake drive and are considered to desperately need repainting.
Local Councillor Declan Meehan has been investigating the ownership and upkeep of the pumphouses. At a council meeting this week, he described the buildings as being “in terrible shape, particularly given their location in such a beautiful setting.”
Donegal County Council has subsequently relayed these concerns to Uisce Éireann.
“A simple clean-up and fresh coat of paint would significantly improve their appearance,” Cllr Meehan stated.
