A quad bike driver in County Donegal was arrested this evening after being caught driving under the influence of drugs while carrying two young children as passengers.
The incident occurred in a public area within the Letterkenny region.
Gardai (Irish police) from the Milford Roads Policing Unit observed the driver operating the quad bike in a dangerous manner and subsequently stopped him.
The driver was also not wearing a helmet during the incident.
A roadside drug test revealed the driver tested positive for several substances, including cannabis, cocaine, and opiates.
The adult male driver was arrested at the scene.
A Garda spokesperson commented, “Sometimes, words do really fail us.”
The spokesperson further stated that court proceedings would be initiated against the quad bike driver.
