Gardaí and emergency personnel are attending the scene of another serious road traffic collision in the Milford area, the second such incident within 24 hours.

Gardaí have issued a statement confirming that a two-vehicle collision occurred on the R245 at Loughnakey at approximately 10:50 am this Saturday.

Further details regarding the incident are currently unavailable.

The location of today’s crash is on the outskirts of Milford, and is less than 5 kilometers away from the site of a fatal collision last night at Bunlin Bridge.

In that incident, a woman in her 70s died following a collision between a car and a van which took place just after 7pm yesterday.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the fatal collision to come forward.

They are requesting that any road users who were travelling in the Bunlin Bridge area between 7.15pm and 7.45pm and who may have relevant camera footage (including dash-cam footage) share this with investigators.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Milford Garda Station on (074) 9153060, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
