Gardaí are investigating a reported ‘suspicious approach’ towards a woman near Dunfanaghy last Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred while the woman was walking alone on minor roads between Dunfanaghy and Creeslough during the early afternoon hours. According to reports, a car stopped beside her, and the male driver began shouting at and threatening her. Local sources indicate that the man attempted to force the woman into the vehicle, but she successfully evaded him. People Before Profit TD Paul Murphy has been detained by Egyptian authorities after flying to Cairo to take part in a protest march to the Gaza border.
