Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Co Cork involving a cyclist. The incident occurred on the N25 in Carrigtwohill at approximately 5pm on Wednesday evening. Emergency services attended the scene, but the male cyclist, who was in his 60s, was pronounced dead. His body has been taken to the mortuary at University Cork Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The male driver of the van involved, also in his 60s, was treated at the scene.
