Uisce Éireann is being urged to renovate two pumphouse buildings located at Lough Salt. The structures are reportedly detracting from the beauty of the scenic lake drive and are considered to desperately need repainting. Local Councillor Declan Meehan has been investigating the ownership and upkeep of the pumphouses. Zach was diagnosed with high-risk Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a serious blood condition with the potential to develop into Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. This diagnosis was especially difficult for the family, as Zach’s mother, Patrice (née Rodgers), had been diagnosed with AML just a year prior.
