Ballybofey-based artist Veronica Maguire is preparing to launch her new solo exhibition, Donegal Sands, at the Old Courthouse in Lifford. Donegal Sands, running from July 4th to August 5th, is a collection of twenty original, contemporary oil paintings inspired by Donegal seascapes along the Wild Atlantic Way. Israel has claimed to have killed a top Iranian general as it traded more strikes with its long-time foe, as US President Donald Trump warned residents of Tehran to evacuate while demanding that Iran surrender without conditions. Patricia Gallagher, 55, has been fined €200 after causing a disturbance at Letterkenny University Hospital, leading staff to fear for their safety. Ms. Gallagher appeared before Letterkenny District Court, charged under the Public Order Act in relation to the incident.
