Killarney is set to launch a new shuttle bus service aimed at alleviating persistent traffic congestion in the popular tourist destination. According to Kerry County Council’s director of roads services, Frank Hartnett, the shuttle service, comprising three buses operating seven days a week, will be operational “imminently.” The buses will run from 6am to 11pm, providing pick-up and drop-off services to key locations throughout the area. A Lough Swilly RNLI crew responded this afternoon to a report of two teenagers experiencing difficulties near Lisfannon. The alert was triggered shortly after 1 PM when a concerned member of the public observed the teens struggling while paddleboarding just off the coast. The Malin Head Coastguard Centre dispatched the RNLI team, but they were promptly stood down after the two teenagers successfully returned to shore on their own.
