Women taking weight-loss jabs are being warned they must use effective contraception. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) issued its first alert to the public regarding contraception and weight loss and diabetes jabs following concerns they may not be used safely. The injections have been previously linked to a “baby boom”, with women reporting online that they have had surprise “Ozempic babies” despite using contraception. Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Co Cork involving a cyclist. The incident occurred on the N25 in Carrigtwohill at approximately 5pm on Wednesday evening.
