A local councillor has warned that residents in elevated areas of western Donegal may experience a water supply outage potentially lasting ‘for days’.
Cllr Michael McClafferty made these comments in response to the recent water service disruptions affecting Falcarragh and Gortahork.
“I’ve been informed that residents on higher ground could face several days before service is fully restored,” stated Cllr McClafferty.
“And for others, I’m concerned about further complications, such as airlocks in the pipes. If that happens, everyone could be without water, and clearing the system could take days.”
