Muff is set to gain 38 new social houses following the approval of construction plans.

The development is a collaborative effort involving Donegal County Council, architecture firm OCB Architecture, and Glenturas Construction. The housing will include a mix of one, two, three, and four-bedroom residences.

OCB Architecture highlights that many of the homes are designed according to universal design principles, ensuring accessibility for residents of all ages and abilities.

The project will incorporate communal spaces, pedestrian-friendly paths, and improved connections to existing village amenities, including the greenway that links Inishowen and Derry.

Construction is slated to begin in late 2025, with an estimated completion time of 18 months.

An OCB Architecture spokesperson stated, “We are delighted to have secured planning permission for this significant project.”

“Our team has collaborated closely with Donegal County Council to create a scheme that thoughtfully addresses the needs of the local community while also enhancing Muff’s built environment. This project exemplifies how effective design and public investment can combine to foster inclusive, thriving communities.”
