A group of eleven Garda trainees have commenced a three-month training schedule in County Donegal.

Since their arrival on June 3rd, the trainees are stationed at Garda stations in Letterkenny, Donegal Town, Buncrana, and Ballyshannon.

This week, Judge Eiteain Cunningham welcomed the group to Letterkenny District Court.

Following this placement, they will return to the Garda College for an additional 11 weeks of training, after which they are expected to graduate as full members of An Garda Síochána.

Upon completion of training, they will be assigned to their permanent stations.

The trainees are: Lee Scanlon, Jade Doherty, Kevin McDaid, Declan Carr, Shane McGeehan, Aiden Robertson, Stephen Ferry, Lucy-May Timoney, Liam Donnelly, Oisin Bryson, and Charlene Wilson.

Garda Donna Campbell of Letterkenny Garda Station accompanied the trainees to court.
