The Fanad Under 15 girls’ soccer team are the Ulster Community Games Champions! They clinched the title with a hard-fought victory over Cootehill (Cavan) at the Peace Link in Monaghan on Sunday.
Fanad held a slim one-goal advantage at halftime. While Cootehill from Cavan came out strong in the second half, the Fanad girls’ resilience and skill proved too much to overcome.

Ulster PRO Tony McCarry celebrated the victory, calling it “a proud day for Fanad and indeed for Donegal” within the Community Games. He offered his best wishes to the victorious team as they now prepare to represent Ulster at the National Community Games finals, scheduled to take place in Carlow at a date to be announced.
The winning Fanad squad includes: Chloe Kennedy McLaughlin, Erin Logue, Cliona Robinson, Kara Friel, Eabha Doherty, Cara Gibbons, Clodagh McAteer, Etaine Sheridan, Alice Gibbons, Amy McAteer, Aisling Duffy, Anita Peoples, Mia Carlin, Eve McAteer, Cliodagh McVeigh, and Eimear Doherty.
