A District Court judge has banned a woman from entering 10 stores in Donegal.

Tina Connors, 27, of Canal Road, Letterkenny, appeared before Judge Éiteáin Cunningham at Letterkenny District Court on theft charges. As part of her bail conditions, Connors was ordered to stay out of the following establishments: Homesavers, H&M, TK Maxx, Kelly’s Centra, Holland and Barrett, McFadden’s Pharmacy, Lloyd’s Pharmacy, and Boots Pharmacy in Letterkenny, as well as Lidl and McElhinney’s Stores in Ballybofey.

Garda Neil Kemmy testified that he arrested Connors on July 8, 2025, at 10:10 am.

Upon arrival at Letterkenny Garda Station, Connors responded to one of the charges by saying, “I don’t remember.”

The court heard that Connors made no response to the other charge.

Sergeant Jim Collins detailed the incidents to the court after Connors pleaded guilty.

The court heard that on April 6, 2025, at 5:35 pm, Connors entered Dealz and stole approximately €200 worth of clothing items. She concealed the items in bags and left the store without paying. The stolen items were not recovered.

The court was also told that on May 20, 2025, at 4:35 pm, Connors entered Homesavers on Pearse Road, Letterkenny, and stole clothing and beauty products valued at €68.60. The theft was captured on CCTV.

Sergeant Collins raised an objection to bail, citing a “continued pattern of non-appearance” by Connors.

Mr. Patsy Gallagher, Connors’ solicitor, requested her release on bail with a brief adjournment.

Sergeant Collins suggested a cash bail if the accused was to be released, but Mr. Gallagher argued that this would present a challenge.

Judge Cunningham acknowledged that Connors was “on thin ice” but decided to grant bail with stringent conditions.

Addressing Connors directly, Judge Cunningham emphasized the importance of attending every remand hearing, stating, “There is no room for error.”

Connors was granted bail in her own bond of €200 with no cash required. She was instructed to refrain from committing any further offenses, maintain good behavior, and remain contactable by An Garda Síochána 24/7. Furthermore, she was prohibited from entering the mentioned list of stores.

Judge Cunningham ordered the preparation of a probation and welfare report on Connors and adjourned the case.
