Gardaí in Buncrana have seized a vehicle due to a multitude of issues, including a lack of up-to-date documentation and its defective condition.
The Buncrana Roads Policing Unit carried out the seizure yesterday evening.
According to Gardaí, the driver was operating the vehicle without valid tax or insurance, and the car lacked a current NCT certificate.
Following a roadside inspection, the vehicle was impounded. Gardaí suspected the car was defective after observing severe corrosion on its brake system.

The driver will face a court appearance as a result of these numerous violations.
Gardaí are reiterating their appeal to all road users to ensure their vehicle documentation is current and that their vehicles are maintained in optimal working order.
“It is essential to verify your vehicle’s roadworthiness before commencing any journey and to ensure you possess all legally required documentation,” Gardaí stated via social media.
