The raffle held at this year’s Donegal Person of the Year Ball, in honor of John McCarter, successfully raised €5,530 for the Lough Swilly RNLI crew.

A 20-year volunteer with Lough Swilly RNLI, John holds the charity close to his heart. It was therefore a fitting choice for him to select them as the beneficiary of the raffle during his special evening in March.

John, accompanied by Peggy Stringer, Vice President of the Donegal Association, recently presented the generous donation in Buncrana.

John McCarter, a respected and accomplished businessman in Donegal for many years, also serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Fort Dunree.
