All eyes are on Mac Cumhaill Park in Ballybofey this weekend as Donegal prepares to battle Leinster Champions Louth in their Preliminary All-Ireland Quarter-Final match.

The last encounter between these two teams was in the All-Ireland Quarter-Final last year, where Jim McGuinness’s Donegal emerged victorious with a score of 1-23 to 0-18. The tightly contested match was ultimately decided by a series of Donegal scores in the final 15 minutes.

Donegal reached this stage after claiming their second consecutive Ulster Championship title, requiring a late score from Ciaran Moore to defeat Mayo in the All-Ireland group stage last weekend and secure their spot in the preliminary quarter-finals.

Louth has continued to improve following their Quarter-Final appearance last year, with the 2025 Leinster title reflecting the county’s significant progress on the field in recent years.

Donegal manager Jim McGuinness has named the same starting lineup as the one announced before the Mayo game – although changes to the actual lineup are possible before the match begins.

The Throw-in for this Preliminary Quarter-Final is scheduled for 4pm tomorrow, Sunday, June 22nd.

While the game will not be broadcast on TV, it will be available via live-stream on GAA+.
