    Donegal’s own Daniel O’Donnell has been compelled to address false claims circulating online regarding his health.

    Online scammers are targeting Daniel’s fanbase by spreading misinformation, alleging that either he or his wife, Majella, are unwell.

    “Majella and I are both fine,” Daniel stated in a clarifying Facebook video.

    “There are many fabricated posts claiming that Majella and I are in ill health, even near death.”

    “These claims are entirely false. We have no control over these posts, we don’t know their origin, and they will likely continue, so please ignore them.”

    Daniel and his team have recently been battling fake images and misleading posts on social media.

    Last month, Daniel announced on social media that he would be taking an extended break from his entertainment career. The 63-year-old shared that he will be reducing his touring schedule due to health-related concerns, including allergies and recurring chest infections exacerbated by extensive touring.

    Daniel will fulfill his existing touring engagements until December 2025.
