The first leg of the Maire O’Donnell fourball matches took place in Letterkenny Golf Club on Saturday.
In tough conditions, the Letterkenny ladies gained the upper hand, giving them a significant advantage heading into the second leg in Portsalon.
However, the Portsalon ladies are known for their resilience and will fight hard on their home course. The matches are expected to be closely contested and could come down to the wire!
Thanks to Noreen at Hunters for the welcoming coffee and homemade scones. The Letterkenny ladies, both team players and supporters, provided excellent hospitality, and all matches were played in the true spirit of golf.
Special thanks to team Captain Kay Kelly, the renowned putting queen of Barnhill. We look forward to welcoming her and her team back to Portsalon on a date to be confirmed.
Intermediate Foursomes
The Letterkenny ladies were again the opposition on Sunday. The format involved two pairs playing simultaneously at home in Portsalon and away in Letterkenny. Despite very strong winds, both sides battled the elements, with Letterkenny ultimately emerging victorious. Lady Captain Roisin and the Portsalon team members extend their best wishes to the Letterkenny ladies for their next round. We also extend our appreciation for the wonderful hospitality at Letterkenny Golf Club.
