A former girlfriend of singer Sean “Diddy” Combs, identified as “Jane,” resumed her testimony on Friday in his ongoing sex trafficking trial.
Jane, who is using a pseudonym, previously testified that Combs pressured her into sex marathons involving drugs, similar to the experiences described by R&B singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, another former girlfriend.
Jane is one of several witnesses, including Cassie, testifying in the trial, now concluding its fourth week. They accuse Combs of violence and abuse.
Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to operating his business empire as a racketeering enterprise that enabled and hid the abuse of women over two decades. A conviction could result in a sentence ranging from 15 years in prison to life imprisonment.
On Friday, prosecutors questioned Jane about specific sexual encounters, starting with a 2023 trip to Las Vegas where Jane described a “hotel night” with Combs and an “entertainer.”
Assistant US Attorney Maurene Comey inquired whether Combs ever used the term “freak.”
Jane stated that he would say “he wants his freak,” which she interpreted as meaning “he wanted me to be wild and sexual.”
Her descriptions of “hotel nights” closely matched Cassie’s previous testimony regarding numerous “freak-offs” with male sex workers, allegedly directed by Combs.
During her initial testimony on Thursday, Jane testified that she repeatedly told Combs, both in person and in writing, that she did not consent to sex with other men.
However, she stated that Combs, who controlled her rent and other aspects of her life, continued to pressure her, leading her to feel “obligated” to participate in the “hotel nights.”
