Lee Jae-myung, the liberal opposition candidate, has reportedly won the South Korean presidential election.
Yonhap news agency and SBS television station, among other South Korean media outlets, announced Mr. Lee’s victory early Wednesday.
Conservative candidate Kim Moon Soo has already conceded defeat.
This victory follows a period of political instability sparked by the short-lived imposition of martial law by Yoon Suk Yeol, the now-removed conservative leader.
