Spraoi agus Spórt in Carndonagh has received a €40,000 grant for its ceramics project, ClayLab. This grant comes in the sixth year of the Community Fund, Bank of Ireland’s flagship community investment initiative, delivered in partnership with Community Foundation Ireland.

ClayLab empowers young people in rural Donegal to design, create, and sell sustainable ceramic products.

The project aims to address disadvantage, strengthen the local community, and create opportunities on the Inishowen Peninsula.

Marie Meehan, Director for Area West, Midlands and North East, Bank of Ireland, stated: “Since 2020, the Community Fund, in partnership with Community Foundation Ireland, has been dedicated to building a stronger society by allocating resources to those most in need. I am incredibly proud of the support we provide to this Donegal-based group and the vital work they do. We are focused on supporting projects that promote inclusivity, provide essential skills, and facilitate connections through education, enterprise, and employment. We wish Spraoi agus Spórt all the best in their community outreach efforts.”
