Kyle McHugh, a young jockey from Ballybofey, achieved another impressive win this past weekend.

The 19-year-old piloted Renesmee, trained by Michael Keady and priced at 13/2, to a narrow victory at Lingfield on Saturday, beating race favourite City of York.

McHugh maintained a strong position early in the race and surged ahead in the final 110 yards to secure the win in the ‘Josh Is Getting Hitched Apprentice Handicap’.

The son of Aine and Shane McHugh is poised to become Donegal’s next prominent racing talent.
