A charity coffee morning will take place in Glenties next weekend to commemorate the first anniversary of the passing of Breid (Brigid) McGill, a beloved local woman.
Breid McGill, formerly of Glen Road and Gortnamucklagh, was known for her compassionate care of others. She passed away on August 7, 2024, surrounded by her family and the dedicated staff at the Donegal Hospice.
The palliative care nurse, a former employee of the hospice, is remembered as a kind and gracious “lady” who provided invaluable comfort to numerous patients and their families across Donegal.
On Sunday, August 10th, following 11 a.m. mass, her family warmly invites you to the Market Hall for a fundraising coffee morning held in loving memory of their cherished aunt, sister, and friend on the first anniversary of her passing.
The McGill family would be honored by your presence.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Cancer Care West, The Donegal Hospice, and The Cancer Bus Services.
“These services were essential to Breid, offering support, a listening ear, hope, and comfort throughout her cancer journey, from diagnosis and treatment to her final moments of care,” a family spokesperson stated.
“Our family is eternally grateful for these services. We hope to see you there.”
For those unable to attend, a GoFundMe page has been established. You can contribute at the following LINK.
