Lauren Callaghan of Finn Valley AC has secured the title of 2025 Irish national long jump champion.

Callaghan’s winning jump measured 6.24 metres in the final, earning her the women’s national crown.

She was the only competitor to surpass the 6-metre mark at this year’s championships, which took place at Morton Stadium in Dublin.

Mark English is also a strong gold medal contender for Donegal today.

The Olympian is heavily favoured to win the national 800m title after an easy run through the heats. He is already looking ahead to the World Athletics Championships next month.
