Gardaí are investigating a serious two-car collision in Kerrykeel that occurred this morning, leaving one man with serious injuries.

The crash took place shortly after 10:45am on the village’s main street.

A man in his 40s, the driver of one of the vehicles, was transported to Letterkenny University Hospital. Gardaí have described his condition as serious.

The male driver’s passenger, a woman in her late teens, did not require immediate hospital care. The driver of the second car, a woman in her 70s, was also taken to hospital for assessment.

The crash site is currently preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or possesses relevant camera footage, including dashcam, from the Kerrykeel area around the time of the incident, to come forward.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Milford Garda Station at (074) 915 3060, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
