The Active School Committee, led by Active School Coordinator Christine Breslin and Principal Connell Herron, diligently ensured the fulfillment of all program requirements throughout the year. Adding to the festivities, the school proudly unveiled new sports kits, generously sponsored by Frank McGuinness. His support has significantly enhanced the students’ sporting opportunities. Frank had the honor of raising the Active Flag, marking a moment of immense pride for the entire school community.
Gortnacart N.S. also recently achieved victory in the Small Schools County Final in rounders—a remarkable sporting success that highlights the talent, teamwork, and dedication of both the pupils and teachers.
