Get ready for a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend! Rathmullan is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its beloved Community Festival!

This festival has something for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, and welcomes both locals and visitors to our beautiful seaside town.

The excitement is building with pre-festival events, but the official fun begins on Friday, August 1st, at 8pm with the parade of floats, followed by the official opening at 8:30pm and music by Keep er Lit at 9pm. The excitement continues all weekend, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display on Sunday night.

The festival programme is jam-packed with incredible music acts, including Bjorn Identity (Abba Tribute Band), George Murphy and the Rising Sons, The Odysseys, The 2 Bucks, My Generation, Trevor Loughrey and the Ryan Turner Band, Matthew Crampsie, The Big Kahuna Band, Wolf Hound, and The Brass Neck Saints.

Sports enthusiasts can look forward to Junior Soccer at the Football Field at 11am on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, and the 5-a-side Memorial Soccer Cup. There’s also a Tug O War competition on the beach for some friendly competition.

Families will find plenty of entertainment with Inflatable Fun at Flagpole Field, a Sand Castle & Sculpture Competition, and the delightful Little Miss Rathmullan & Prince Charming event.

The historic 192nd Annual Regatta will be held on Monday, August 4th. The day includes the Rathmullan Makers Market, showcasing local artists and designers. A Navy ship will be docked at Rathmullan Pier and open to the public from 11am.

On Monday evening, enjoy live entertainment from Shunie Crampsie and The Ice Breakers.

Join us and create lasting memories as the Rathmullan Festival celebrates 25 years of tradition.

The organisers express their sincere thanks to all the volunteers, sponsors, and participants who make this festival a reality. Your dedication and support are the heart and soul of this vibrant community and cultural heritage.

Don’t forget, festival lines will be on sale all weekend for €2 each or 3 for €5.

For more information and updates, follow the Rathmullan Community Festival page on Facebook.
